I’m Danny Park who is teaching Korean on italki.

After a number of years of teaching Korean to students from all over the world, I learned that lots of my students are utilizing an app to study Korean.

And so I needed to create an app that can actually improve the Korean language abilities of learners with my expertise of teaching Korean for a long time.

I did not have the abilities to develop an app, but I studied coding with the help of certainly one of my students Dave, an American programmer.

And now we've the ‘podo’ app.

1. LESSON

: Our goal is to be able to communicate in Korean. Learning a new language isn't just about memorizing words. Rather than memorizing a handful of words, try to focus on just some phrases that are utilized in every day life.

‘podo’ classes are designed to be taught as many expressions as potential with the minimal variety of words that most people use incessantly.

2. READING

: Students who've some primary Korean dialog expertise want to read nicely. However, the articles on the internet or books are very obscure and that makes you lose confidence.

'podo’ reading is written only for Korean learners. Using easy phrases and expressions, I wrote interesting content related to Korea. You can even practice speaking whereas shadowing the pronunciation recorded by a local speaker (I assume it is better to pay attention lo
